What We Offer

Transform your property to look as good as new

Exterior composite wall cladding can transform your property to look completely refreshed and as good as new. Cladding protects the exterior of your building from the elements which when living in the United kingdom is most certainly needed. The types of cladding materials available are plastic, wood, imitation stone, brick and metal and are absolutely perfect for both commercial and domestic properties.

Yate Building Plastics have a fantastic selection of uPVC cladding for DIY enthusiasts, tradesmen and simply if you would like to refresh your home. We manufacture durable, low maintenance cladding perfect for adding an attractive style to any building. Perfect for any building and ideal for adding extra thermal insulation, reducing heating costs.

Low Maintenance

One of the best features of cladding is the fact that it requires no maintenance, Yate Building Plastic requires nothing more than a regular wash to maintain its new feel. Cladding is extremely durable and can last a long time, protecting the structure from external weather conditions. Some types of cladding on the other hand require no maintenance at all. Stone cladding for example requires no maintenance.

Safety

As mentioned, the main purpose of cladding is protection. Cladding actually reinforces the mechanical strength of the building and reduces changes during fluctuating temperatures. Cladding can also reduce water absorption, increase sunlight resistance and much more. Finally it even offers protection against rain, snow, wind and even mould.

Aesthetically Pleasing

Cladding can completely transform the look of your home making it aesthetically pleasing and often increasing market value too. Whatever type of cladding you choose will provide a unique look to a building.

There are a huge range of styles and colours to choose from at Yate Building Plastics.

Why use Cladding?

All homes used to be built using materials such as stone or brick, during the 20th century things began to change and what was standard wall building practice began to use cavities between inner and outer walls, this was usually referred to as ‘leaves’ or sometimes even ‘skins’.

This ultimately meant that load bearing was now down to the inner leaf, weatherproofing was for the outer leaf with heat insulation in the middle of the leaves.  All of this meant that the outer wall only had one job to keep the weather out and this is further reinforced by cladding.

Planning Permission

You do not need planning permission for cladding, most cladding will find that it falls under permitted development, which means you are more than welcome to create the dream home you have always wanted.

This however, does not apply to listed buildings or any home on protected land within a national park for example. If you live in a terraced or semi detached house we would recommend that you think about how cladding will affect neighbours.

Put the finishing touch to your home with a brand new uPVC cladding.
